IT Support Apprenticeship Level 3
L3 ICT Support Technician – The Gryphon Trust – Hampshire BH25 6RS – £4.30p/h – 37 hours
Job Purpose
To assist the team in implementing IT support across the Multi Academy Trust, helping to deliver school IT services, supporting the needs of both students and staff.
Apprenticeship Overview
Expected duration: 18 months
Apprenticeship level: Advanced (Level 3)
Programme: L3 Information Communications Technician – Support Technician Pathway
During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with The Apprentice and Training Partnership, delivered through combined classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning.

Key responsibilities:
· Provide IT Support to staff and students across two schools using IT services such as iPads, computers and laptops, via phone, email and face-to-face
· Communicate incident updates on the helpdesk portal
· Document details of new assets
· Issue loan devices to students and reset them on return
· Software installation and updates, along with troubleshooting software problems
· Administration of accounts to access school services
· Helping to set up IT equipment such as projectors
Desirable skills and characteristics
· Good degree of computer literacy – both software and hardware
· Willingness to work hard to study alongside work
· Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner
· A strict regard for confidentiality when required
· Good planning and organisational skills
· Ability to demonstrate sound problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
It is an advantage to have GCSE 9-4 grades or equivalent in English and Maths to apply for this type of apprenticeship. If you do not have these grades but have completed numeracy and literacy Key Skills/Functional Skills at level two you may also apply for these apprenticeships.
Eligibility
You must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the role:
– Have been a UK/EEA resident for the last 3 years
– Hold valid residency status
– Have the right to work in the UK
Salary to increase to £4.82 from April in line with Government apprentice wage requirements
